Junior Summer School
Oatlands College
Location
SLS Ireland operates its summer school out of Oatlands College, which is located in Mount Merrion, South County Dublin.
The college is located beside Stillorgan and lies on a large private campus with state of the art sporting facilities completed at the end of 2011. The college is situated close to a number of major bus routes making it easily accessible from Dublin City Centre or surrounding suburbs. The bus journey from the college into the City takes approximately 20 minutes. Bus numbers 46A and 145 stop outside the school gates.
About the College
The college has fully equipped classrooms with modern teaching facilities, a school hall equipped for concerts and productions, school canteen, library, an art room, music room and a number of computer room. The College has recently undergone extensive building of a new state of the art sports hall which caters for basketball, volleyball and indoor soccer. Other sports facilities include a full size grass football pitch, a second sports hall catering for indoor sports, changing facilities and showers. The school campus also has other large green areas which SLS uses for other outdoor sports and activities.
General English Course
SLS Irelands General English Course consists of 15 hours classes per week. Each class is made up of a maximum of 15 students, all non-native speakers and when possible of varying nationalities. Each class is thought by a TEFL qualified teacher with many years’ experience.
