SLS’s General English Course consists of 15 hours of classes per week. Each class is made up of a maximum of 15 students, all non-native speakers and when possible of varying nationalities. Each class is thought by a TEFL qualified teacher with many years’ experience.
SLS’s syllabus is developed around five vital skills; oral, aural, reading, writing and pronunciation. Classes are available at all levels from Elementary (A1) to Advanced (C1). Two teachers, covering different prearranged areas of the syllabus, work alternately with each class. This provides variety for the students and allows them to benefit from the different personalities and teaching styles.
In addition to English classes students have the opportunity to participate in a cultural programme. SLS have developed this programme over many years and consists of two cultural visits per week as well as three afternoons of sports and activities. This cultural programme is vital to the overall learning experience of each student. Taking the student out of the classroom will ensure the student uses their English language skills in varying situations.
Students have a full day excursion, usually outside of Dublin, every Saturday.
